Leaving town

All my life has been waiting for this year. It's the year when I finally make the final steps to moving out and being on my own--leaving the nest permanently. Just because I've taken small trips out on my own, I think that I can handle anything the world throws at a newly-independent me. But the truth is that I can't. I have no fucking idea what to do in 9 3/4 months (had to throw that in there) when I move away. Normally I can't stand Owensboro and the stupid, closed-minded red necks who inhabit this wasteland. I despise it. I mock it. I turn my nose up at it and pronounce myself superior to the people who live here and enjoy it. I belittle them and say they're unintelligent, stupid, uninterested and utterly boring. I think  that I'm better than them, because I've traveled a bit and because I know the world doesn't end at the county or even the state line. I have taken the smallest of tastes of what lies beyond semi-rural USA and that makes me think that I'm better than everyone else who maybe hasn't had the opportunity to travel like I have.
And then sometimes I get so scared of leaving, even if I'm only moving 2.5 hours away, that I just want to cry. I miss it already and it's not even gone.

Time to write.

I haven't posted lately, and I'm sorry about that. I like blogging. It helps me clear my head.
I don't think there's much better than plugging the headphones in, turning the Coldplay up, and ignoring the shouts and door slams of your chaotic family.Well, there's a lot better than that. But it's pretty damn good right now.
Normally these days when I write, it's because I got this sudden need to let something out. Like popping a zit. I need to let the nasty out so I can heal, and this is a good place for it. I mean, nobody reads it, and I'm not foisting my rants on my friends like I do a lot apparently.
Huh. Can't write today for some reason. And I don't think my internet is working.
